The Honeywell Granit XP 1991i is an ultra-rugged cordless Bluetooth® 2D handheld scanner for warehouses, manufacturing plants, logistics yards and forklift work. It reads damaged and poor-quality 1D and 2D barcodes, survives 3 m drops to concrete and 7,000 tumbles, is sealed to IP65 and IP67, and its replaceable 2,450 mAh battery delivers up to 50,000 scans per charge. Scanner and base communicate via Class 1 Bluetooth over up to 100 m line of sight. The scanner is backed by a 3-year Honeywell warranty (battery: 1 year). This version, 1991ISR-3-R, has Standard Range (SR) optics (for near-field 1D and 2D scanning) and is supplied as the scanner with its battery only – the CCB22 charge and communication base, the interface cable and the power supply are not included.
📦 What's in the box – 1991ISR-3-R
- ✅ Honeywell Granit 1991i scanner – Standard Range (SR), Red / black
- ✅ Rechargeable battery – Li-ion 2,450 mAh, fitted in the scanner – replaceable (spare: Honeywell BAT-SCN05)
- ❌ Charge and communication base – NOT included
- ❌ Interface cable – NOT included
- ❌ Power supply – not included
- ❌ Stand / holder – not included
⚠️ Please note: this version is the scanner only (with battery) – no base, no cable and no power supply are included. It is meant as a replacement or additional scanner for an existing Granit XP CCB22 charge and communication base (up to 3 scanners per base). The scanner charges in the base, so for a new workstation please order the Honeywell charge and communication base CCB22-100BT-03N together with an interface cable such as the Honeywell USB cable CBL-500-300-S00 – or simply choose the complete USB kit 1991ISR-3USB-5-R, which includes the base, the cable and the battery (see the comparison table below).
🔌 Charging: the base is powered via the USB cable and charges the scanner when it is placed in the base; the optional Honeywell power supply PS-05-1000W-C (EU plug) shortens the charging time and is required when the host port does not supply power (e.g. most RS232 ports).
💡 Need more charging points? The Honeywell charge-only base COB22 charges a spare scanner (power supply required), and the Honeywell 4-bay battery charger MB4-BAT-SCN01EUD0 charges up to four spare batteries outside the scanner.
💡 Need a place for the scanner when it is not in the base? Add the Honeywell industrial holster HOLSTER-INDUSTRIAL for carrying on the belt, the holder HOLDER-010-U for desk or wall mounting, the tool balancer TOOLBAL to suspend the scanner above a workstation, or the vehicle-mount holder VMHOLDER2K for forklifts and other vehicles.
Key Features
- Ultra-rugged design – survives 3 m (10 ft) drops to concrete (MIL-STD-810G) and 7,000 tumbles from 1 m.
- IP65 and IP67 sealing – dust-tight and protected against water jets and temporary immersion; the small, deeply recessed scan window is scratch- and impact-resistant.
- Standard Range (SR) optics – optimised for near-field 1D and 2D scanning: reads codes down to 3 mil Code 39 and 6 mil Data Matrix, and 20 mil Code 39 at up to about 84 cm.
- Reads damaged and poor-quality barcodes – Honeywell's imaging platform and decoding algorithms read damaged, dirty and poorly printed labels at the first attempt – standard 1D, PDF, 2D, Postal, Digimarc, DotCode and OCR.
- Cordless Bluetooth® freedom – Bluetooth 4.2 with adaptive frequency hopping and a Class 1 radio: up to 100 m line of sight to the CCB22 base – ideal for large warehouses, docks and forklifts, with no cable getting in the way.
- Full-shift battery – the replaceable 2,450 mAh Li-ion battery (BAT-SCN05) delivers up to 50,000 scans or about 14 hours of operation (at 1 scan per second) per charge; spare batteries can be charged in the 4-bay battery charger.
- Charge and communication base – the CCB22 base charges the scanner and connects up to 3 scanners to the host via USB, keyboard wedge or RS-232, depending on the cable; it runs on USB power or on the optional power supply.
- Works from −20 °C to 50 °C – in cold stores, on outdoor docks and in hot production halls.
- Fast, intuitive scanning – motion tolerance of up to 4.5 m/s and omnidirectional reading for quick point-and-shoot use.
- Clear feedback in noisy environments – bright good-decode LEDs, a beeper with adjustable tone and volume, and adjustable vibration.
- Easy management – deploy and update scanners automatically with Honeywell Scanner Management Utility (SMU) and get on-demand scan insights with Honeywell Operational Intelligence.
Ideal Applications
- Warehouses and distribution centres – receiving, put-away, picking, inventory and shipping
- Large warehouses and cross-docks – scanning freely up to 100 m from the base without cables getting in the way
- Manufacturing and automotive – work-in-process, parts tracking and quality control
- Logistics yards, ports and outdoor areas – scanning in dust, rain and snow
- Forklift and high-bay scanning – reading labels on the upper rack levels (XR and XLR versions)

Not sure which version you need? For a new workstation choose a USB kit – it includes the scanner, battery, CCB22 charge and communication base and USB cable. The scanner-only versions are intended as replacement or additional scanners for an existing CCB22 base (or for use with a separately ordered base and cable). Choose SR for near-field 1D and 2D scanning, XR to read everything from small close-up labels to large codes at up to 10 m, and XLR for distances of up to 24 m – from a forklift to the top of high-bay racks.
