    What both printers share

Both models use the same Link-OS menus, alerts and buttons, so staff who know one can use the other. Both have peel-and-present mode with a label-present sensor, black mark and gap sensors, Zebra Print Touch NFC pairing and Made for iPhone certification. Both work with the free Zebra Printer Setup Utility. Setup steps for both are in our ZQ610 Plus and ZQ630 Plus setup guide, and alerts are explained in ZQ610 Plus and ZQ630 Plus troubleshooting.

Zebra's 3-inch ZQ620 Plus sits between the two, with a 72 mm print width. For a lighter and simpler 3-inch receipt printer, see our ZQ320 Plus vs ZQ521 comparison.

    Accessories and EU security rules

The batteries differ: the ZQ610 Plus uses a 2-cell pack and the ZQ630 Plus a 4-cell pack, so spare batteries are not interchangeable. Charging cradles differ too. Zebra makes single-bay Ethernet cradles for both models and a 4-bay cradle for the ZQ610 Plus and ZQ620 Plus. Zebra's 3-slot battery charger takes both types: three 2-cell batteries charge in under 4 hours, three 4-cell batteries within 6 hours.

Both printers are covered by Zebra's EU radio equipment security rules. On printers bought in Europe after 1 August 2025, Wi-Fi is off by default and you set a Protected Mode password before you set up Wi-Fi. Zebra's user guide asks for this password and a front panel PIN before any wired or wireless setup. More guides are on the ZQ610 Plus and ZQ630 Plus guide pages.
