The TSC ML241P is a 4-inch industrial label printer for production and despatch work that runs all day. It prints thermal transfer at 203 dpi and comes with Ethernet, USB and RS232 as standard — it goes onto the network out of the box, with a serial port still available for older line equipment and print controllers.

Bluetooth is unusual on an industrial printer, and it is worth considering even for a fixed installation: setup and diagnostics can be done from a phone standing next to the machine, rather than finding a laptop and a cable.

Larger media rolls mean fewer changes per shift, and the printhead and platen roller are wear parts designed to be replaced — so the printer stays in production rather than becoming a repurchase.
Thermal transfer means choosing a ribbon
Match the ribbon to the label material, not to the printer. Paper labels take wax, coated paper takes wax-resin, and synthetic labels need resin — wax will not bond to a synthetic label and wipes off with a thumb.
